Wizoop

Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 5 October 2026

The rules for using WIZOOP, whether you play a quiz, host a live game or publish your own. Please read them once; they are written to be understood.

1. About WIZOOP

These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover your use of WIZOOP, a quiz and interactive competition platform run by the WIZOOP team ("WIZOOP", "we", "us" or "our").

WIZOOP includes the website at wizoop.app and everything on it: playing quizzes from a shared link, joining and hosting live games, Wizoop Studio (where creators build, publish and analyse quizzes), kids activities, AI-assisted quiz generation, sharing, and related services.

By using WIZOOP you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Notice, our Cookie Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Who can use WIZOOP

Creating a WIZOOP account (a "host account") is for people aged 18 or older who are able to enter a binding agreement. By creating an account you confirm that you are.

You do not need an account to play. Children may take part in quizzes and live games, but only as set out in our Child Safety and Minors Policy: the teacher, school, organisation, parent or guardian who shares a quiz with children is responsible for making sure that is appropriate and lawful.

3. Your account

Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password and sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Tell us straight away at the support address below if you think someone else has got into your account. You can see where you are signed in, and sign out of other devices, in Settings.

Players who join with a link or a game PIN do not need an account. They choose a nickname (and sometimes an avatar or team), answer questions and see results.

4. Playing and hosting

Hosts and creators are responsible for the quizzes they make, the instructions they give players, and the setting in which a game is played. That includes choosing sensible visibility, leaderboard and team settings, especially for young players.

Players should use a nickname that is appropriate and not someone else’s name, and follow the host’s rules and the Community Guidelines.

Scores, rankings, timing and standings can depend on connection quality, host settings and server timing. We work to keep results fair and accurate, but we do not promise that every game will run without delay, interruption or error.

5. Quizzes and other content you add

You keep ownership of the quizzes, questions, pictures and other content you create or upload ("your content").

To run WIZOOP, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, resize, format and process your content, and, for a quiz you publish, to show it to other people as you have chosen, including in search results and previews and on our home page. We use that licence only as needed to run, secure, improve and promote WIZOOP. It ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept in backups for a short time, and for results that other people have already saved.

You promise that you have the right to use everything you add, and that it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights. Do not upload pictures of children, real names or contact details of other people, or exam papers and answers you are not allowed to share.

Quizzes you publish must follow our Community Guidelines. Before a quiz goes live we run automatic checks. We may remove a quiz, or limit who can see it, if it breaks these Terms or the Guidelines.

6. Published quizzes, links and results

When you publish a quiz or share its link, other people can open it, play it and share it further. Anything you put in it can be seen by them. Players’ scores and nicknames may appear on a leaderboard according to the setting the creator chose.

Creators can see the nicknames, scores, answers and play counts of people who played their quizzes. They must not use that information for anything unrelated to running the quiz, and must not try to identify players.

7. AI-assisted quiz generation

WIZOOP can draft quiz questions with the help of an AI service. When you use it, the text you type (and any notes you attach) is sent to our AI provider to produce the draft.

AI-written questions and answer keys can be wrong, unclear or out of date. You must read and correct them before you use or publish them, particularly for teaching or competitions. You are responsible for what you publish.

Do not put passwords, confidential information or personal details about other people into the AI prompt.

8. What you must not do

You must not:

  • break the law, or use WIZOOP to help anyone else break it;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise against our Community Guidelines;
  • harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate another person or organisation;
  • try to get into accounts, servers, sockets, APIs or security controls you are not allowed to use, or upload malware;
  • overload or disrupt the service, or scrape it at scale;
  • cheat by manipulating scores, rankings, timing or game state, or by using automated tools to play;
  • collect or export information about players for reasons unrelated to running the quiz.

9. Reporting a problem or a rights complaint

If you see content that breaks these Terms or the Guidelines, tell us at [email protected]. Anything involving a child’s safety is treated as urgent.

If you believe something on WIZOOP infringes your copyright or other rights, write to [email protected] with the link to the content, what right is affected, and how we can reach you. We will look into it and may remove the content while we do.

We may act on a report without telling the person who made the content, where that is needed to protect someone.

10. Suspension, ending and deleting your account

We may limit, suspend or end access, and remove content, where that is reasonably needed to protect people, enforce these Terms, follow the law, deal with a security problem, or stop abuse. Where we can, we will tell you why.

You can stop using WIZOOP at any time. You can download your data and delete your account in Settings. What happens to your data afterwards is explained in the Privacy Notice.

11. Fees

WIZOOP is free to use at the moment. If we add paid plans, we will show the price, billing and cancellation terms before you buy, and they will be added to these Terms.

12. Our rights

The WIZOOP name, logo, design, software and documentation belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use WIZOOP as these Terms allow, but you may not copy it, reverse-engineer it or make a confusingly similar service or brand, except where the law allows.

13. No guarantees

WIZOOP is provided "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or right for every educational or commercial purpose. Quiz content is made by its creators; we do not check every answer for accuracy.

WIZOOP does not give professional, legal, medical, financial or other regulated advice.

14. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, WIZOOP is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss that comes from using the service.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be removed or limited, including any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

15. If your content causes a claim

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover WIZOOP for claims, losses and reasonable costs that come from your unlawful use of the service, from your content infringing someone else’s rights, or from your serious breach of these Terms.

16. Agreeing electronically

Where the law allows, creating an account, ticking or accepting a notice, and other online actions are a valid way to agree to these Terms. We keep a record of when you accepted, and which version.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version and its date are at the top of this page (this is version 1.0, effective 5 October 2026). For important changes we will tell you on the website, in your account or by email. If you keep using WIZOOP after a change takes effect, you accept it, to the extent the law allows. If you do not, you can delete your account.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without taking away any mandatory rights a consumer has in another country.

If there is a problem, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to sort it out in good faith before either side starts formal proceedings.
